Claire's birthday journal

I turned 7 this year and wanted to write about my birthday.  For breakfast I ate FRUITY  PEBBLES--
they were yummy!

I got to choose 2 friends to take to Playwerx. I brought my friends Abigail and Ava.   During our car ride we drew funny faces on  balloons and when we got there we  played on the slides and in the ball pits. A while later we opened presents.

We liked posing for the camera and mom got us some funny moustaches to wear.  I can't believe Ashlyn photo bombed our picture!  She was there with two friends for her birthday party too.  Our birthdays are next to each other.  I had so much fun!!!!!!!

My brothers and sisters all got me presents for my birthday.  Warren got me a minion t-shirt, Ashlyn got me a my little pony, Lara got me a activity book, and dad got me a set of Nancy Clancy books (Ashlyn tried to photo bomb that picture too but only her hair got in).

Great Grandmother Plumb gave me and Ashlyn matching outfits.
And Grandma and Grandpa Solano came and gave us lots of fun toys and clothes.
Davis thought my birthday party was a lot of fun too.  He is so cute I like making him laugh.
This is one of the shirts Grandma Jo gave me.  I love butterflies.  They are one of my favorites.  I love puppies too and hope my mom and dad get one someday.  A couple weeks ago my dad took me to a pet store for our daddy daughter date to pet some animals.  The puppies were so cute.  My favorite book is one of the Fancy Clancy books called "Secret Admirer".  My favorite color is turquoise and I am going into second grade soon and will be playing on the soccer team called the mermaids, the season starts in a couple weeks.

For my birthday treat my mom made chocolate lava cake for dessert.  I love cake and ice cream.  YUM. It was a fun birthday.

A Visit To The Y

In April we went and visited Utah to visit cousins and friends and to go to a session of General Conference.  It was really fun to see everyone.  We visited BYU Campus one of the days we were there.

Ashlyn got a vanilla ice cream cone (as usual), Claire and Lara got
chocolate-mint, and Warren got a chocolate fudge ice cream cone.

We visited the Museum of Art and saw an exhibit with Carl Bloch's paintings of the Savior.  It was amazing to see the large original paintings that they use in the Ensign.

We saw some really cool art. These sculptures are by Mike Whiting. (We know him.)

We went to the Eyring science center. We saw some awesome rocks there. There was an air cannon that made a loud noise and shot out air when you banged on it .

Aunt Becca came with us and brought Joshua, Jared, and Dallin.  We all had a great time at the Y.  Mom was bummed that we didn't get to go bowling. I think Davis had a good time too!!

A Birthday To Remember

For my birthday, my mom made bacon, soft boiled eggs, and hash browns. It was DELICIOUS! But that was only the start of my awesome birthday...
Great Grandma Plumb came over to our house. She gave me a cute little purse,
a cool outfit, and a pretty blue flower bracelet.
But there was MORE!!!!
From my brother Warren, I got a pair of  fuzzy Minion slippers!
From Claire, I got my favorite comic book Calvin and Hobbes!!
From my dad, I got a card making set complete with double sided tape, different papers with prints and designs on them, a giant glue stick, and a set of 48 gel pens!!!!
A little bit later, we picked up my friends Rylee and Chelsea and started off for Playworks, an indoor giant playground. We had a bit of a party in the car...

We went down slides, bounced on bouncy hammocks, hid from my sister and her friends, and rode wild swings that we kept falling off of.

My friends and  I were super sweaty after we had played for 2 hours. Soon, it was time to go home.
That night, I had a crazy cake. It was a lemon cooler cake with two rolled wafers filled with vanilla stuck out at the top. Just like my birthday breakfast, it was DELICIOUS!!

A few days later, my grandma Solano  came to visit. She brought a lot of presents with her. My favorite gift that she brought was a Leapad Ultra! How on earth did she know that I had been wanting one of those things forever???
It was a birthday to remember!!!
