Claire's Baptism

PHOTOBOMB!!!!!!! nice one uncle Spencer.  Claire will get even later...
Uncle Al and Aunt Ditty
Claire chose to wear one of my white dresses I had when I was 8.  If I had known that Davis was not smiling in any of these photos I would have given him to someone else to hold.

Afterwards we met in the cultural hall for dessert.  Lots of friends and family were able to come and join us.  It was fun to visit and eat fruit basket cake.

July 4th

We celebrated July 4th with cousins.  We did a BBQ at the Sabins pool in Poway and then saw some fireworks that night.  It was a perfect day.

a new soccer season has begun...in with the new, out with the old

So these pictures are from the 2014 soccer season.  We just started a new season yesterday and were on the field sweating for four games.  Claire asked to do a blog post today and as we scrolled down Ashlyn was surprised that I had done a soccer team posting for Claire and Lara, but not for her.  We need to document her time on the Opals with coach Frances.  Ashlyn was number 11 which was an adult large in size.  She was swimming in it the first game so I had to do some sewing to save her the rest of the season.  I took it in quite a bit but she still can wear it as a night gown.  They went to the finals last season and lost in overtime to the Rubys  It was a lot of fun to see how fast she got.  She was on defense a lot because she could always catch the person with the ball.
They had this "Opals"  cheer that one of her team mates made up that didn't make any sense, but it rhymed.

Here is Ashlyn when her team played against Jillian's team, the sapphires.
Here is a view of her coach and Ashlyn's blousy uniform.
Ashlyn had her covered.

Davis is such a cutie.  He is definitely quicker and more mobile for this the 2015 soccer season, so we will see how it goes chasing him everywhere. Luckily he has a fast older sister who is always mindful of where he is. She will make a fabulous babysitter soon. Hopefully I will be able to do more blogging updates with everyone back in school this year-- only one more week until school starts.  I will only have Davis home --crazy.

a visit to ugent care

Davis Davis Davis...a true boy with absolutely no fear.  Luckily he has a high pain tolerance too.  This came just in time for Halloween.  This was about 2 days after it happened.

A lost tooth

Way to go Claire!!
Wow by the time our kids are done losing teeth the tooth fairy will have invested heavily in our children.

Lara's Birthday

Lara turned 6, and she was very excited about opening presents this year.  She gets super excited and does not like waiting!!!!
Claire got her some pop up unicorn slippers (stompeez). The eyes flap up and down as you walk.
Dad got her some fuzzy Zebra PJs,
Warren got her some littlest Pet shop supplies.
Ashlyn got her a good supply of leggings to wear under the dresses and skirts Lara insists on wearing every single day.
Mom and Davis gave her some more littlest pet shop figurines.

Grandma Solano gave gifts with a Frozen Theme.  The girls had fun modeling the Ana and Elsa wigs.
We ended the day with an awesome dance party to her Birthday CD created by Brock.  Good Tunes.
I can't believe this little girl is 6!!!

A Wickedly Awesome Halloween

The ward trunk or treat was on Tuesday.  The kids had a great time.
Constantine (AKA Davis) enjoyed his first corn dog and trick or treating experience.  He did not want to put any candy in his bag, but he had candy clenched in each fist and then handed it to different people hoping someone would open it for him.
Edith (AKA Claire)  from Despicable Me ran around with her friends Ava and Olivia.  Clara is on the end from Lara's church class and soccer team. Lara was so busy going from car to car multiple times she didn't have time to foster any friendships.  It was all about the candy.  She used her disguise as one of the 5 Elsa's at the party to trick or treat multiple times to the same trunk.

Ashlyn lucked out with a homemade costume courtesy of the Carters.  Brooklyn and Ashlyn were matching monsters from the PNK sorority on Monsters University.  Their third eye was painted on and they were ready to go.

COTTON CANDY--even mom had to have some of that!!!

The kids had fan posing for the cameras in their costumes. Warren just can't keep his tounge in his
                                                                         mouth.

On the day before Halloween we had Warren's Joy School costume party with games and songs.  It was fun to let them play at the park.  From left to right:  Bronson is Sully, Warren is a Dragon (from the Lego Movie he kept telling everyone), Gavin is Spiderman, Julia is a spooky ghost, Kate is a princess, and Lucas is Flynn Ryder from Tangled. Hey, watch it with that frying pan!!!!!

Davis was a candy corn angel.
Lara was the black cat helper with the Joy School kids.  She felt a little old for the group but decided to come have fun anyway.
We switched around Constantine's mole for Halloween night.  Brock kept giving Davis skittles to keep him happy.
We went with and trick or treated with a few other family friends up the street from us.  It was a good group of kids.( Not to mention a lot of them...) .

Who has the best scared face????

Everyone had a good time trading candies. Ashlyn and friends had a contest to see who could give the most candy to Chelsea's dad Patrick.

Here was the group shot that was photo bombed by Ashlyn.  Had to come up to center stage.  Brock was Davis transportation for the evening. The sugar finally caught up with Davis and he collapsed into a sugar coma letting the Hershey bar fall from his hand smacking the pavement with a thud of melted chocolate still in its wrapper. Or, I guess you could say he fell asleep.... but  '' sugar coma'' sounds way cooler, don't you think ???
